The Fairy Queen 2020

I made this outfit for a burlesque party which never took place - du to the pandemic. The gown is my Venetian 16th century gown made from a cotton damask.

So I made leaves and flowers from fabric scraps and sewed them to the gown. The blouse is a peasant blouse that I made from a thrifted scarf. I cut the sleeves open to make hanging sleeves, and applied Indian machine embroidered trim that I cut into smaller pieces by hand, and added some beads.

Hubby and I then walked to a small copse of wild plum trees to capture them while they were in bloom.

In some photos I am wearing my coronet, made by EvaJohanna Studios, in some I wear a bought wreath.

Proof that you can look scary even in green, surrounded by flowers.

And of course I used my leaf capelet for some photos too.
